MAnoj Darekar

Manoj Gorakshanath Darekar is an artist based in Pune whose paintings explore psychology, memory, emotional perception, and questions of identity. Drawing on pareidolia—the tendency to recognize faces and forms in everyday surroundings—he transforms ordinary experiences into introspective works that reflect human emotion, communication, subconscious memory, and the subtle shifts that accompany movement and migration. He graduated from Bharti Vidyapeeth College of Fine Arts, Pune, and received the Prafulla Dahanukar National Award in 2017.
